The Data-Streamer:A Breakthrough in Simplicity, Educational Impact and Cost

Abstract

We provide a brief background to the important aspects of sensors and data collection. The differences between the professional and educational approaches to data analysis are highlighted, as they are relevant to the new educational data streamer technology. The recent changes in graphing calculators that have enabled the new data streamer technology are explained. The advantages of the data streamer are given and illustrated by example. The example chosen is that of capturing the heart beating in real time (an EKG).
